Why We Built This Site
Kentucky gives the public access to many records, but Johnson County record custody is not one-stop. The Circuit Court Clerk at the Johnson County Judicial Center handles court case files for Circuit, District, Family, probate, criminal, civil, traffic, and domestic matters. The County Clerk at 230 Court Street handles marriage licenses, deeds, mortgages, wills indexed in CCLIX, elections, vehicles, and County Clerk open records. The Sheriff, County Attorney, Fiscal Court, jail, Kentucky Court of Justice, CHFS, and KYTC each handle other record channels.
